From start to finish everything was easy. We arranged from a distance and Derek responded quickly to all enquiries, making everything stress and hassle free. We met up on a couple of occasions before the wedding, both at the wedding venue and the meal venue, and explored different options for photographs. Derek encouraged us to come up with our own ideas as well as having lots of his own.

The day went amazingly well, Derek was professional and clear in what he wanted us and our guests to do.

We had our first taste of the photos within 24 hours and the remainder of our photos within a week. We were stunned at the quality and quantity of the photographs. Derek has managed to capture 'us' in all of the photos he has taken. There isn't one we don't love. Derek is, without doubt, a craftsman.

We have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone for quality, price and professionalism, all are outstanding.

Well, what can you say. We spotted ‘Picture the story’ photographer ‘Derek’ whilst doing a random search on the internet. As parents, who had offered to pay for our eldest daughters wedding photos, we obviously did our research. Having looked at numerous other wedding photographers, and also got quotes, we found ‘Derek’ and after speaking with him we realised what very reasonable prices he charged. Still slightly sceptical when he showed us his work we booked him for our daughters wedding on 23rd September 2017. The results have been fabulous and the additional ‘photo booth’ went down a storm. He is a really nice man and without doubt must be one of the most reasonably priced wedding photographers out there. He had to travel quite a way to get to us but the little extra we paid for him to do this was still worth the price. Thank you for some very special memories.

Derek did my photos for my wedding and i could not fault him. He was brilliant. We had him for all day and he really took in every photo i wanted. Everyone said he was so good. I had over 1000 photos with black and white choice. Even had the photo booth, which went down a treat! Also bought the A3 album as couldn't decide on the pictures as they are all lovely and it was so worth it!. Will be definitely hiring him again. Thank you for capturing our special day 🙂

Derek was friendly and professional throughout all our planning and on the big day. We particularly loved his artistic eye and variety of photo opportunities including making great use of the grounds and venue, mirror shots and some funny photos. He had some photos ready on the day and the rest were with us before we even returned from honeymoon! We are currently picking our favourite photos (a very difficult choice!) for our album, which we are very excited for! Picture the story is excellent value for money, a fantastic service and we would 100% recommend!

After searching through many photographers we came across Derek. We setup a meeting and instantly liked Derek. A very genuine person with a great passion for his work. We discussed the various options and very reasonable prices. Our big day was magical and Derek was beyond expectation, the photos arrived as soon as we were back from honeymoon and unlike most photographers we got all the pictures from our day at no extra charge. The photos were first class and we had 850 of them in 3 different colours. The photo booth was loved by all young and old with great pics for everyone. Would highly recommend Derek and his wife for any occasion.
